Enteric coatings depend on the use of polymers with pH selective solubility characteristics, which allow for API release at selected regions of the GI tract. Within the Instacoat range, systems are available for fully aqueous, hydroalcohlic or fully organic solvent systems using acrylic or cellulose based polymers.
